Our Checklist
Here's the list of our reputable suppliers so far:
1) Wedding Planner: Jojit Dy of The 3rd Party (www.the3rdparty.com)
- Jojit's very stylish, and his ideas are not baduy at all, unlike some wedding planners who have executed some of the really bad weddings Pete and I have respectively attended
2) Church: Santuario de San Antonio, Forbes, Makati City
- I've always loved this Church, even more so than my parish, Christ the King
3) Reception: Banyan Pavilion, The Blue Leaf, McKinley Hill (www.theblueleaf.com.ph)
- Expect a lot of drinking since there's no corkage fee in The Blue Leaf! (Boo for hotels today! :P) A big factor that won us over!
4) Photographer: Pat Dy (www.patdyphotography.com)
- He's Pat Dy!
5) Videographer: Mervin Gobaco of MG Digital (www.mgdigitalvideo.com)
- His award-winning works are very creative and modern
6) Designers: Gretchen Pichay (gretchenpichay.multiply.com), Paul Cabral for the Mother-of-the-Bride, and Frederick Peralta for the Mother-of-the-Groom
- Gretchen is my sister's good friend and kabarkada from ICA, and I personally love her work!
7) Designer for Males' Suits: Still sourcing for one; as recommended by Jojit
8) Event Stylist and Florist: Teddy Manuel of Flowers and Events (www.flowersandevents.com.ph)
- Teddy and I have the same "vision" and "look" for the reception venue, which is something I'm really looking forward to!
9) Cocktails and Dinner Caterer: Food tasting sessions are still on-going (Cuillere and K by Cunanan)
- K by Cunanan has a lot of innovative dishes (e.g. carrot rice and tempura-like shrimp with grapes). Best of all, the meals are superb!
10) Hair and Make-up Artist: Trial sessions are still on-going (Toto Bagamasbad, Mickey See, and Gela Laurel)
11) Church Music: c/o Pete's lovely and talented friends and family from his High School, International School Manila
12) Reception Music: DJ Mark Nicosia
- Expect a lot of dancing because DJ Mark is one of the best DJs in town! He's able to mix indie rock music, which Pete and I absolutely love, and classic tunes.
13) Bridal Car: c/o Pete's BMW car club friends :)
14) Lights/Lighting Effects for D-R-A-M-A: c/o Jojit
15) Desserts: Joy San Gabriel as recommended by Jojit (joysangabrielcakes.blogspot.com)
- I have to have my cupcakes! :)
16) Invitations and other misc. print stuff: Printsonalities as recommended by Jojit
17) Pictures as Gift Favors: Bai Capture as recommended by Jojit
We've actually already achieved (and spent!) a lot, and to think it's only April 2009! To be completely candid, Pete and I actually fought numerous times with regard to the wedding details. We sometimes don't see eye-to-eye when it comes to the ideas and details, but fortunately, we've always agreed on one thing: our wedding and its style will definitely be clean, modern, sophisticated, and unique!
